We Love Children in Worship!

We love having children in worship because they belong here. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me,” and reminded us that the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Children are not merely the church of tomorrow—they are part of the church today.

We also believe that faith is not merely an adult intellectual experience. We come to worship not simply to learn ideas about God, but to receive his grace, hear his Word, sing his praises, pray, and participate together in the life of Christ. Children can do all of those things—even if they sometimes do them with a little more volume and a little less predictability than the rest of us!

And honestly, we like kid noise. A little squirming, whispering, crying, laughing, and even the occasional perfectly timed outburst is a reminder that the church is alive. It may even be a small preview of heaven—because if the kingdom of God belongs to children, we suspect heaven won't be completely quiet either.

Most importantly, we are a family. And family gatherings are sometimes noisy. Families don't send their children away because they're distracting; they make room for them because they love them. We want our worship gatherings to reflect that same welcome.

So, parents, don't worry if your child makes noise, needs to move around, or doesn't sit perfectly still. You are not bothering us. Your family belongs here. We are grateful to worship alongside children and to be reminded, week after week, that God's grace is given freely to all of us—young and old alike.
